Yesterday was our first shoot and it went superbly. There is no better thing than introducing people to a hobby while also letting them learn something new. Many of our new members have never even touched a gun before yesterday. Yet they still learned how to operate both a bolt action and semiautomatic .22 caliber rifle in a safe yet proficient manner. The challenge of the day for these new members was to hit a 3″ clay at about 30 yards and many of the new members succeeded. Next meeting is Monday to go over handling of rifles and the shoot will be the following Monday. Pictures from this shoot will be posted soon.
